Today I had the opportunity to meet with Laura Tanzer of La Rose Jaune to interview her for my first story as a Tucson Fashion Examiner for Examiner.com! It was a life-changing experience in that I know for sure now that I want to be a fashion journalist. I feel like I've found my calling, and I've gotta tell you, it's a great feeling!
I'm planning on attending the Academy of Art University (San Francisco) online for Fashion Journalism soon. I've been maintaining contact with an advisor there over the past year and working on the steps needed to get in. I was going to take an ATB test but I still haven't heard from a testing proctor so I'm currently working on getting my G.E.D. instead. I never graduated high school, I think I may have mentioned this before. I was actually home-taught most of my high school years and I have yet to take the GED due to motherhood. I'm motivated to get it done and over with now. Life is short right? Truth be told I need some serious tutoring for the math portion. If I can't find a tutor I may enroll in some GED classes at the local community college instead.
And in case you're unable to tell by my outfit pictures, which I doubt because this baby bump is well on it's way to mountain, I'm pregnant AGAIN. Say what? Yup. I got through month 1 of Insanity, bought a mini-van, moved into a new house with an extra bedroom, and Bam! pregnant again. God has interesting timing doesn't he? Let's see how creative I can get with maternity fashion this time around. =) Boy did I put together some really funky outfits back in 2010-2011. You live you learn. Today I learned that I should have just worn my hair up like I'd planned in the first place.
I wore a borrowed maxi dress from my sister Ivy, a pink floppy Merona sun hat from Target, and fuchsia peep-toe pumps from urbanog.com.
I hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July!
